BLOOD DRIVE
A Screenplay by Robert C. Powers
Genre: Thriller/Horror
Pages: 88
Logline:
A sexy lady taxi driver finds a dapper gentleman who is, unknown to her, a
vampire, hiding in her trunk; he lures her to help him and she drives him around
while he leaves his bloody trail across the city and escapes the wrath of one of
his victims –- with a shocking ending.
Synopsis:
Taxi Driver Veronica (Ronnie) wants to make money to become a photographer, but
she has problems; her fiancé wants a wedding date and Ronnie’s father, Andrei,
proprietor of a Romanian Restaurant, is ill and in debt to a gangster who
threatens to take over his restaurant. She
needs big money fast.
Ronnie picks up a mysterious and dapper professor, Pierce.
As dawn approaches, Pierce hires Ronnie
to drive him around —- hidden in the trunk.
Ronnie finds that a bit strange, but he has an allure that attracts her.
Pierce is on the run from something or somebody and needs help arranging a
passport for travel to Romania; asks Ronnie to help him and offers her big
money. Ronnie’s cabbie contacts help her
arrange for Pierce’s travel. But it
takes time. Meanwhile, Ronnie is
stuck with Pierce. She finds that
she and Pierce have a common ancestor -- an uncle in Romania.
It dawns on Ronnie that Pierce is no ordinary fare!
He acts like vampires in stories her father once told her.
She drives him to hotels where he meets
with women – many women. Pierce
becomes a threat. Ronnie tries to
get rid of him, but Pierce keeps showing up in strange and unexpected places.
And, Ronnie needs the money.
Ronnie must shake him before something awful happens.
TESSA, a weird wanna-be-vamp chic tracks Ronnie down -- takes her to her
“homeless abode”, a room in a vacant building, filled with vampire symbols.
She tells Ronnie that Pierce is a real
vampire who killed her boyfriend, Ricci. Ronnie
agrees to help Tessa find Pierce, prove he’s a vampire and kill him.
It comes to a head at a "stake-out" on a
dark night in the middle of a park.
